小型可插拔（SFP）是可互換的收發(fā)器模塊，用于適當裝備的有源組件中。它比任何當前可用的外形尺寸都要小，并且每張線卡提供最高的密度。
當前活躍的大量網(wǎng)絡(luò)產(chǎn)品已經(jīng)裝有模塊化光收發(fā)器的插槽。這為用戶提供了最大的網(wǎng)絡(luò)配置靈活性。由于其特殊的結(jié)構(gòu)，還可以在運行期間進行安裝（熱插拔）。

Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) is an interchangeable transceiver module and is used in suitably equipped active components. It is smaller than any of the currently available form factors and offers the highest density per line card.
A large number of network products that are currently active are already equipped with slots for modular optical transceivers. This gives the user the greatest possible flexibility in network configuration. Due to the special structure, the installation can also be carried out during operation (hot swap).
Depending on the cable medium (multimode, monomode (= single mode), monomode simplex, twisted pair) and the bandwidth used, the SFP is selected.
The Multi Source Agreement (MSA) and SFF-8472 ensure the standardized structure and use of the SFP transceivers in terms of design and optional digital diagnostic function.
The SFPs with a maximum bandwidth of up to 1.25 GBit / s support Gigabit Ethernet and Gigabit Fiber Channel.
