The tolerance sleeves can be made in two different materials.
Due to the greater thermal and chemical fissurability, most of the tolerance shafts are made of corrosion-resistant steel.

The load capacity, i.e. the portable torque and the permissible radial load, is slightly higher in the case of carbon steel casings of smaller sizes than in the case of Nirohullen. This is particularly evident when the casings are mounted several times.
